What can you do in 8 and a half hours.....work a full day, drive to the mountains and then back, or fly to Toronto and fly back, make a friend or break a heart....OR you could stand in line just to have someone take a bunch of forms. Yes thats right Glen and I stood/sit in line for up to 8 and a half hours to get our passports in! Although it took the whole day our passports should be coming in 4-6weeks!! Which is kinda exciting as we both have never had a passport. It was a day well spent and I would recommend it to all of you deprived of some excitement in your life. Arriving at 6:15 in the morning, only to sit in the 400th or so spot is quite exciting. Besides the wait, we made some new friends and met up with some old ones. All in all a great day!
Tips for anyone wanting to brave the line:
-bring a lawnchair (major back saver)
-bring something to read or watch or listen to
-bring a friend(quite handy for the frequent walks and bathroom breaks)
-dress comfortable but stylish as the News Crews are everywhere!

All I can say is, I'm glad my passport hasn't expired from my Germany trip and I don't have to go through that 8 hour wait. I'd rather drive to the mountains and back instead.
That's a long wait. In early December Fred waited five hours with Eric. I don't plan on traveling out of Canada anytime soon only Fred gets to do that.
Thats disgustingly long. But well worth the wait for a tropical honeymoon! Who were the old friends that you met?
p.s. nice new blog format!
we met some people from Glen's church, and our uncle and aunt from the north
no way that's crazy! It's funny that we never see them, and then suddenly randomly at yc's and passport offices we see them!
Good words.
