MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone!!
Today was a busy and exciting day...working in the morning and two family functions to attend. I am now home and still have time before I go to bed for work tomarrow to blog. Christmas this year has been great!! I was pondering Christmas and what it means when I thought of this. Last year while at a Steve Bell concert he mentioned that when the WiseMen followed the star and found Jesus they did not return home the same way they came. Just like our lifes when we meet Jesus we never go the same direction from then on. Just a little thought of Christmas!! Have a Merry Christmas everyone!!
PS Sorry Christina for the wait!

Just My Luck

Last night we watched this movie called Just My Luck with Lindsay Lohan, where this girl mysteriously loses her luck to this guy with a simple kiss.

As I was reaching for a glass of cool water to quench my parched mouth, the cup slipped and slammed on to the floor. Breaking into a thousand or more little pieces.

Thinking quickly before anyone could know, I dashed for the vaccuum cleaner. On the way as I joyfully got the vaccuum together I heard a *SMASH* behind me. To my astonishment, I broke another glass on the way!!!

Bad Luck?? Superstitious??? I have no idea??

A Little Slice of Heaven!

Joni and I were at this course at church when we tried these little treats and found the recipe. They are SOOOO GOOD!!

Take Rolo's and put them on top of the pretzel,
melt in the microwave.
Add pecans to the top and drizzle with white chocolate.

Enjoy, we sure did!!

(Joni's a natural Martha Stewart)

Countin the Days...

5 days down and 21 days remaining . . ...... till I see Glen again. He left to go haul trees last Monday, so instead of counting the days till Christmas I'm counting the days till I get to see him again. I'll be picking up quite a few shifts this December to pass the bitterly cold and dreary days away. Hopefully time will fly this December! Don't you find time flys when your having fun/busy and not when your bored and not around the people you love??

Canadian Finals Rodeo

Last Saturday Glen and I went to the CFR. I've never been, but it was a blast!!!! I would recommend it to anyone. You don't even need to be close, Glen and I were 4th row from the top, in the nosebleeds section.

Lest We Forget

In Flanders Field
Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

In Flanders Field the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead.
Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Lest We Forget

Shampoo and Conditioner

I am now on the prowl for some new shampoo and conditioner. Although I love Pantene Pro-V which I've been using for who knows how long, I'm tired of it.....My sister bought some Tresemme and Herbal Essenses but apparently at the last hair cut the hairdresser told my sister that those products dry out and damage your hair!! I have no idea which one to choose, any ideas???

Mary Kay Party

Last Wednesday I attended a Mary Kay party at my friends house. It was alot of fun. A bunch of chatty girls trying on make-up and the latest greatest age defining lotions. To those of you who know me the best this is a shock, but, I bought some mascara. I don't really wear any make-up, besides for dressing up nice, but it was 50% off, and who can miss a deal like that. I hope it works good, apparently it's the best on the market, cause it has 3 whisky things in the brush. Whatever it is I was sold.

Tractor Buisiness

Last night Glen and I had one of our favorite dates. Sitting in a tractor, talking. Actually I do most of the talking while Glen works, but it is alot of fun. Last night we were plowing his Dad's land into black strips of rich soil. I always wonder what it looks like from an airplane.

Anyways, this is a picture of Glens tractor, not his actually tractor but the same brand name. (His is way more dirtier) This is his favorite tractor a FENDT. I don't know why but when ever we get together with his friends they always argue about who has the best tractor....it must be a guy thing. Fendt, New Holland, John Deer they all look the same besides the color to me.

Dress Shopping

So, I finally got my wedding dress. No this is not the exact dress but it is very similar. My sister and I call it the duvet dress because it looks like a duvet from the waist down. One thing that just annoys me about dress shopping is the sales people. For some reason in all the wedding dress shops you come in take off your shoes and there are a million saleswomen hoarding around you like in a sofa shop. Anyways, you finally find a few dresses to try on and the sales lady always has to be in the dressing room to help lace it up or zip it up when your Mom and sister are sitting right there and are more than eager to help out, dispite that fact that you would feel comfortable with someone you knew. But I guess that all comes with the territory. At least it is finished and ordered....I hope it comes in time....
